Whilst church christenings are a tradition they don't suit everyone.  A naming ceremony is an opportunity for you to welcome a child into your family in your own unique way celebrating those bonds that will tie you together forever.  Because of the freedom enjoyed with a Celebrant-led ceremony they have also becoming extremely popular with adoptive children as well as Step-Children.

When it comes to naming ceremonies the possibilities are almost endless.  You can involve family members and close friends and can include any number of symbolic elements such as time capsules, wish jars, tree planting and the sand unity ceremony.  And if you're not religiously inclined you can also add 'guideparents' to the proceeding.
